As I become more intermediate in my career, I start to gain a different perspective on what work even is. I live in two realities. On one hand, I try to I focus on the present moment, in the office every day. 2024 is an election year so the media cycle is naturally more political. Working in a world where systems feel broken. We’re living in a low trust society where there are multiple versions of truth. To navigate ambiguity and complicated scenarios, I rely on my intuition to guide me in the right direction.
The optimist in me is bullish about the future. I can’t help but think that we are experiencing generational shifts in the corporate jungle. Artificial Intelligence is just another layer of abstraction. The computers are getting better and faster. A rising tide will raise all ships. Feeling this way, I want to help build the new system.
Regardless of what is to come, I feel myself going through different cycles. I am so excited about the future. At the same time, I run out of energy. I cycle through the mood meter.
Over breakfast I’d like to discuss the never ending cycle.
